Americas Cup Software Announcement
Virtual Spectator today announced the release of new yacht racing software.
Speaking from Europe, the Chairman, Neville Jordan, said "the software suite brings Americas Cup software to an affordable yacht club level and keen interest has come from prestigious yacht clubs around the world."
"In particular, Virtual Spectator's `Towards Valencia 2007` software was the subject of well-advanced negotiations in Europe."
The products result from significant new contracts and are part of the strategic move towards products for television, the Internet, and mobile applications rather than one-off operationally based services.
The company recently won a multi-year contract worth over $1m with World Rally that will be executed by Virtual Spectator's offices in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Jordan said, "Virtual Spectator is now firmly established as a dominant brand in sporting animation for television, the Internet and mobile media. International sports contracts include: yachting, rally cars, cricket, rugby, Australian Rules, horse racing, golf and Formula 1."
"Offshore and local shareholders
are making further significant investment into the
technology to enhance Virtual Spectator's leadership in
sports entertainment products."
