Sustainable Business Network supports EnergyWise Rally 2004
Sarah Burke, Project Manager for the Sustainable Business Network (SBN), will be partnering former Formula One driver Chris Amon in a Toyota Prius Hybrid in the 2004 EnergyWise Rally.
One of the objectives of the SBN, through its GreenFleet programme, is to help organisations configure and operate their vehicle fleets in a way that has minimal impact on the environment. “GreenFleet also helps organisations to make the best decisions about the transport options available to them through business travel planning,” said Sarah. Toyota is one of two car companies that are founding sponsors of GreenFleet, and the Prius to be crewed by Chris Amon and Sarah Burke in the event is currently on loan to the SBN.
“EnergyWise Rally 2004 is an excellent event for us to be involved in,” said Sarah. “The event focuses attention on the vehicle types and driving practices which allow vehicle fleet operators to minimise emissions and maximise their savings on fuel. I’m delighted to have the chance to be part of the crew of a car which will be competing for the outright win, and I’m sure Chris and I will make a great team.”
