NZ's Fastest Growing ICT Sector Shows Off Achievement

A wealth of talent and creative innovations will be on display 2-3 November at Canterbury's first ever technology trade show - ES Connectivity 04

Did you know that Canterbury's booming ICT industry contributes $1.8 billion dollars to our economy? And that Canterbury has the fastest growing ICT sector in New Zealand?

To celebrate this achievement the industry is holding its first ever technology exhibition - ES Connectivity 04 - at the Christchurch Convention Centre next week. From 2-3 November industry and members of the public alike will be able to discover a wealth of amazing and world-class technologies being created and successfully exported from Canterbury.

Exhibition Organiser and Electronics South Facilitator, James Saruchera, said that the event has attracted 20% more exhibitors than originally targeted and a steady stream of delegate pre-registrations. "Companies have responded really well and we are expecting a few hundred people to visit the exhibition - including a good representation from the other side of the Tasman. There has been a lot of interest from Australia, as this is New Zealand's first dedicated electronics expo."

Thirty-eight exhibitors amongst New Zealand's best technology companies will proudly display some of the industry's most advanced technologies and innovations.

This is a unique opportunity for everyone interested in technology - whether they are graduates considering a career in ICT, or students, industry, media, or those who are just curious about what is happening in their own back yard.
