ERMA New Zealand Reassesses Petrol Handling On Farms
ERMA New Zealand has opened public consultation on a reassessment for handling and using petrol on farms.
The reassessment applies only to a consideration of the approved handler control for farms of 4 hectares or larger on which less than 2000 litres of petrol is stored.
ERMA New Zealand Chief Executive Rob Forlong, who has initiated the reassessment, says the reassessment is one of a number of measures aimed at reducing compliance costs for farmers. "Following representations from farming groups, ERMA New Zealand has decided to reassess petrol handling to make the regime more practical and compliance simpler."
Public submissions on the petrol reassessment must be in by 30 April.
