Slingshot Voted Best ISP At The 2007 People’s Choice NetGuide Awards

Auckland, Friday 11 May 2007 - Slingshot, has won the coveted award as the Best ISP at the 10th annual People’s Choice NeGuide Awards held last night. Tens of thousands of voters took the opportunity to vote for the best ISP in New Zealand based on reliability, price, access, support and extras.

“Slingshot is honoured to be selected by the New Zealand public for this award, a public that has grown with us since we were established in 1996,” says Mark Callander, General Manager Sales and Marketing for Slingshot. “The ongoing commitment to enhance the internet experience of our customers, with competitive plans and initiatives to bring faster and better broadband drive every aspect of our business. This, combined with the strong customer support teams and a focus on customer satisfaction, all lend to the win.

“Slingshot is the largest 100% kiwi-owned internet provider, however the true measure of success is our customers. We are entering an exciting new era in the telecommunications market and over the next few months there are several exciting initiatives for Slingshot that our current and future customers are just going to love. Last night’s win will be celebrated by all staff today, because the award is a reflection of hard work across the entire business.”

The other finalists for the award were Ihug and Orcon.
