CABLEORGANIZER.COM HARNESSES THE POWER OF LEARNING SEARCH™ TO INCREASE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT AND GROW SALES CONVERSIONS BY 40 PERCENT

SLI Systems’ Industry-leading Search Solutions Give Award-winning E-commerce Site Significant Customer Service and Marketing Enhancements

CableOrganizer.com, one of the world’s leading purveyors of cable, wire and equipment management solutions, has selected SLI Systems’ Learning Search ™and Site Champion ™ hosted site search and search engine optimization (SEO) offerings, the search solutions provider announced today. With more than 10,000 active products, CableOrganizer.com recognized that customers needed a faster, easier way to navigate its site and find the items they were looking for. The company turned to SLI Systems, a provider of on-demand search services for Internet and e-commerce sites, to improve their customers’ online experience with better search navigation.

Since integrating SLI’s offerings in March of this year, CableOrganizer.com has seen the number of product searches increase by as much as 40 percent, which directly correlates to a 40 percent growth in sales conversions.

CableOrganizer.com’s COO Paul Holstein said, “Integrating Learning Search and Site Champion on CableOrganizer.com has been the single most important catalyst to sales conversions. The more our customers use search on our site, the more products we sell. Our successful results show that an informed customer who is able to obtain relevant information in an efficient manner is more likely to buy – and become a repeat shopper. By integrating the ‘buy now’ button with the search results, we’ve also made it as easy as possible for the customer to purchase products.“

Learning and Improving with Learning Search

After evaluating various search solutions, CableOrganizer.com selected SLI because the provider’s open platform allowed them to customize the search function on their site to best match the requirements of their search-savvy customers.

“Because our customers so heavily rely on the search box on our site, it’s especially important for us to offer them a navigation system that delivers the right kind of information,” said Holstein.

“With SLI Systems’ hosted site search solution, our customers find the information they’re looking for right away, as well as pricing, ratings, reviews, and pointers to other products that may be of interest - all of which contributes to an excellent online experience. This has resulted in more site visitors returning more often, and turning to the search function more than any other area of the site.”

In addition, the data pulled from SLI Systems’ Learning Searchallows CableOrganizer.com to analyze the search terms used on their site and quickly see how customers’ preferences are changing, in order to better promote their products online. For example, the company recently noticed that customers were no longer using the term ‘label printer’, so they changed the product category to ‘label maker’ to match the term people were using.

Learning Search also reports when people are searching for products that are temporarily or no longer available. For such terms, keyword-specific banners are created which suggest similar products, enabling customers to find and purchase alternatives. For example a search for ‘Harmony 628’ shows a banner saying that this product is no longer available, but directs the customer to other Harmony remotes.

Another benefit of Learning Search is that it helps the company’s sales team more quickly find information about products that people seek, further improving customer service.

“Empowering our sales team with the ability to find products and information quickly results in nothing short of service excellence for our customers, which is one of the areas we pride ourselves on as a company,” noted Holstein.

Steering More Traffic with Site Champion

With 68 percent of CableOrganizer.com’s traffic coming from major search engines, the company has also seen greater visibility and higher traffic numbers resulting from organic searches, thanks to SLI’s Site Champion search engine optimization product. With Site Champion, CableOrganizer.com can direct visitors to search results landing pages, increasing the likelihood that people will convert to buyers. For example, if a user does a search on Google for ‘wire loom’, CableOrganizer.com appears in the top 10 results, and the associated link takes the user to the search results page for that term on CableOrganizer’s site. Rather than take the customer to a generic landing page, the user can seeall the ‘wire loom’ products that CableOrganizer.com carries, increasing the likelihood of a sale.

Dr. Shaun Ryan, CEO of SLI Systems said, “We are thrilled to see the bottom line results CableOrganizer.com has gained from harnessing the power of our search offerings. Servicing our customers well is every bit as important to us as it is to the retailers we work with. CableOrganizer.com is a perfect example of how our search products make it easier for online visitors to navigate a site with thousands of listings.”
