World Now Available in Australia and New
Zealand
Research In Motion (RIM) is today announcing updates to BlackBerry App World™, the official application store for BlackBerry® smartphones. BlackBerry App World provides BlackBerry smartphone* customers with an intuitive, integrated service for discovering, downloading, recommending and managing mobile applications for personal or business use. New features in BlackBerry App World, which is available for download today, include two additional pricing tiers, PayPal and credit card payment options, enhanced discovery and search capabilities and a new user identification system called BlackBerry® ID.
In addition to the broad selection of free mobile applications available in BlackBerry App World, customers can also now purchase a variety of additional mobile applications starting from US 99 cents.** Customers in Australia and New Zealand can now download the new BlackBerry App World directly to their smartphone by visiting www.blackberry.com/appworld or mobile.blackberry.com.

Enhanced Payment Options
With the new BlackBerry
App World, customers will be able to purchase applications
using PayPal and major credit cards, including Visa and
MasterCard.

Discovery
BlackBerry App World adds new tabbed
sections for various lists of applications. Users can
horizontally swipe or scroll to quickly view the Top 25 Free
Apps, Top 25 Paid Apps and Top 25 Themes, as well as lists
of the Newest Apps and Recently Updated Apps.
QR barcode
scanning is also supported, allowing users to scan a QR code
associated with an application from anywhere – the web,
print ads, brochures, etc. BlackBerry App World will quickly
find the related application and automatically open the
application's information and download
page.
* BlackBerry ID
BlackBerry
ID provides customers with a device-independent user
identification (ID) used with BlackBerry App World. It
enables credit card payments and allows customers to
seamlessly transfer their personal library of free and
purchased apps when they switch to a new BlackBerry
smartphone.
The new BlackBerry App World also features some Australian developed apps, including:

Me Beats with Roy Hamilton 3
Developed by Big
Tin Can, Buzz Me Beats with Roy Hamilton 3 allows users to
access over 30 special beats for their phones – perfect
for phone calls, SMS/MMS, email accounts and social media
alerts.
BuzzMe Beats also matches Roy's unique sounds with special LED colour and phone vibration patterns - and includes a special mute function that can be used from within any BlackBerry® application to turn the phone to silent easily.
Roy Leaford Hamilton III (born in Queens, New York) is an African American number one Pop and R&B songwriter, record producer, and musician. Collectively, these skills and abilities have helped to sell over 70 million albums worldwide.

CoDriver
The brainchild of local developer
Arrival Tech, CoDriver is a new generation of GPS-based
driving assistant designed to meet the daily needs of
motorists. Developed to assist drivers, the app offers a
comprehensive safety mode that will alert drivers to:
