HD camcorder lets new parents to capture child's growth

MEDIA RELEASE

Canon HD camcorder enables new parents to capture and personalise their children’s growth

New Zealand, 6 January 2015 – Canon today unveils the LEGRIA HF R606 – featuring enhanced Baby Mode, perfect for parents who want to capture and personalise their children’s growth.

LEGRIA HF R606 key benefits:

• 32x Optical Zoom magnification / 57x Advanced Zoom magnification

• Slow and fast motion recording

• File lock function to save against accidental deletion

• Don’t miss baby’s first steps with the pre-record function

• Register your children for easy documenting

Capture moments you cherish

Combining Canon’s Full HD video system with a high-quality DiG!C DV4 processor, the camcorder ensures you capture your favourite family moments – from holidays, to parties or school events – in outstanding detail. Featuring a 32x optical zoom lens with a 57x advanced zoom, the LEGRIA HF R606 provides the freedom to shoot a diverse range of scenes and subjects both near and far.

Keep track of your subject

Zoom Framing Assist will ensure you stay with your subject - the camcorder automatically pans out to help you relocate your subject, before zooming in again. Each shot will always be crystal clear, with Intelligent IS automatically reducing camera shake, giving you the confidence to zoom in on the action as it happens.

Fun for the whole family

Adding a creative twist to movies is quick and simple thanks to a range of new and easy-touse recording modes. With slow motion recording you can cut speeds by 1/2x – ideal for capturing and reliving every detail of a child’s first goal – or speed up events by up to 1200x, great for a quick recap of baby’s early years.

Baby mode

Canon Baby mode is featured including a pre-record function that captures footage just before recording starts, to ensure you don’t miss baby’s first steps. With the new camcorder, parents can register up to three children and track their growth over the years. Videos shot in Baby Mode are automatically saved to a dedicated album, with a file lock function to safe against accidental deletion, so your favourite moments can be viewed by children without risk. The HF R606 also offers fun animation designs for time stamping.

Availability

The new LEGRIA HF R606 will be available in selected Canon Authorised Dealers across New Zealand from end February 2015. Prices will be set at dealers’ discretion.
