ADInstruments Offers Precise Tools For Measuring Microvascular Perfusion And Respiratory Performance
ADInstruments provides solutions for capturing vital physiological metrics with consistency and clarity through PowerLab integration.
The Laser Doppler flowmetry system enables noninvasive, continuous monitoring of microvascular blood perfusion. Using a fiberoptic probe and a singlechannel Blood FlowMeter, the system measures tissue blood flow by analyzing Doppler shifts in scattered laser light, expressed in Blood Perfusion Units. It works seamlessly with PowerLab and LabChart to illuminate changes in skin perfusion in response to stimuli or vascular conditions.
In addition, the spirometer serves as a precision device for respiratory research. When paired with a pneumotach flow head, it calculates airflow and volume during breathing cycles, enabling analysis of key respiratory parameters such as tidal volume, respiratory rate, minute ventilation, peak flows, forced vital capacity (FVC), and FEV. The system supports human and animal models, and data processing is streamlined through LabChart’s Spirometry Extension.
Taken together, these tools empower researchers and educators to study both circulatory dynamics and respiratory function effectively, backed by ADInstruments’ reliable data acquisition system.
