Lifeline For Cash-Strapped Sports Clubs, Schools
Cash-Strapped Sports Clubs and Schools Offered Revenue Lifeline
Cash-strapped sports clubs and schools are being offered a revenue lifeline by innovative Kiwi IT company AllTeams.
AllTeams have already created a free website and sports management tool that connects clubs with players, supporters and sponsors to increase funding and reduce administration time and cost.
Now, with the launch of the new AllStars Community and Business Directory, AllTeams provides a way for sports clubs and schools to make money while encouraging members to support businesses that support them.
The directory is rolling out amongst sports clubs and schools in New Zealand including some of the biggest rugby, hockey, and multisport clubs in the country and will be a significant driver of new revenues in the sports and school community.
“Pilot clubs College Rifles and Hamilton Marist sold 42 business listings in December 2009 alone and expect to grow this substantially during 2010. AllStars uses the clubs and schools as a sales force and rallies the business community in their support, it will be a growing and important revenue stream for sports clubs and schools in New Zealand that is renewable year after year,” says CEO Will Stamers-Smith.
In addition to this, the AllStars Business Directory reduces the reliance on declining bar revenues and community trust funding, and introduces an online solution to an age old problem.
“This funding avenue [community trusts] is very difficult to manage. The application process to multiple trusts is challenging, funds might be declined at the last minute, leaving critical budget shortages. AllStars introduces a significant new revenue stream that provides much needed additional funding for clubs and schools.” continues Stamers-Smith.
Created in New Zealand, AllTeams’ technology is the next development in social networking. Team members and supporters can share information and communicate easily with one another while children have a secure platform to make their sports activities more exciting.
In 2009 AllTeams won a lucrative contract from the British Government to set up a school sports results system and social network in the UK. This trial was recently upgraded from five to 50 schools across the West Midlands region.
AllTeams’ mission is to combine the capabilities of the internet with the community’s passion for sport while addressing the common issues faced by sports teams the world over.
