Kapiti Coast August Buggy Walk
25 July, 2011
Get out and about this winter - the August Buggy Walk will be held at Queen Elizabeth Park, on the Kapiti Coast. Make sure you come and join Sport Wellington and Greater Wellington Regional Council for this event. The walk follows the Whareroa Stream track which will take participants through farm land, restoration planting and wetlands.
The event will be held on Thursday 4th August, 2011. Participants are to meet at the Rangers office, Queen Elizabeth Park (MacKays Crossing end), from 10am for a 10.30am start. Here you can enjoy a complimentary coffee supplied by Caffe L’affare, and chat with the other parents/caregivers before the walk.
Buggy Walks are a great way to get out and experience some of the beautiful parks in the Wellington region. QEP is no exception with many different tracks and walks suitable for young children and buggies. The park has picnic areas, toilets, parking and dogs on leads are welcome
The August Buggy Walk is followed by the September walk on Petone Foreshore (September 1st). This walk is a popular one and provides great views over to Wellington Harbour and Eastbourne. It is then back to Wellington Central for the Big annual Buggy Walk at the Botanic Gardens on Thursday 6th October.
