V8ST Aiming to Develop TV Offering

V8ST Aiming to Develop Tv Offering

BNT V8 SuperTourers today confirmed that it will be launching its new TV product in conjunction with this weekend’s Brother 350 at Pukekohe.

On the back of a new partnership with official broadcaster TV3, an innovative program is being developed for screening on CRC Motorsport show the Sunday after the race meeting.

“The new format allows for far more technical analysis and behind the scenes content, which will help deliver on one of our key visions - contributing to the overall growth of motorsport in New Zealand,” explained GM of sales and Marketing for V8 SuperTourers, Mike Marsden.

"By taking the time to edit the content, and add in the detail, we are aiming to create a product that has a broader overall appeal.”

The move to delayed coverage has also been also driven by a desire to make the coverage of the V8ST events even more interesting and in-depth on and off track. The SuperTourer series believes that grabbing the attention of a wider fan group is fundamental and that an edited post race package is vital.

“We are in the entertainment business, so what people see on the television sets must be interesting and entertaining. With more time we can achieve this.”

SuperTourers TV will screen the weekend after each live meeting. Plans are also being developed for a live Internet-based race feed, but it will not be ready in time for Pukekohe this weekend.
