Ambassador delivered points Ref A on June 18 to Dr. Kamal
Siddique, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. Dr.
Siddique reiterated BDGs position (Ref B) that the first
session should focus on procedural matters. He also firmly
stated that the BDG will not be part of any anti-Israel
resolution and promised to confirm this with Foreign
Secretary Hemmayetuddin, who will represent Bangladesh at the

HRC meeting in Geneva. Embassy also delivered Ref A points
to the Director for UN Affairs at the MFA, Hamid Rashid, who
is preparing the briefing materials for the BDG delegation.
