Israeli Settlers and Soldiers Ravage and Molest the Residents in Hebron

PALESTINE, June13,2005 (IPC+WAFA)--The Israeli occupation forces imposed toady strict and draconian measures in Hebron city, south west bank in concurrent with the extremists Jewish settlers celebration on the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.

Locals sources of the old town of the city reported that the a mob of settlers and their proponents from the radical Jewish groups continued their festivals in a provocative way , started Sunday evening in the yards of the holy ibraheimi mosque they made a part , cheered with dance and wine, slamming disdainfully the Muslim's feelings and faith.

The custodians of the mosque said that the settlers organized a racist rally, in the area stretches from the illegal settlement block "AL Dobyia , passing through al Shuhda street and al Sahla square , until it reached al ibraheimi mosque or the so called al Maleen street linking the illegal settlement of "Kreyat arabaa" with the ibraheimi mosque and Wadi Al Nassara neighborhood.

In the rally the Jewish settlers chanted anti- Semitic slogans against Arabs and hurling stones at several houses of the resident.

The Israeli forces beefed up its troops in Wadi al Nasara and Jaber quarter of the old town of the city held tens of the youths, set up dozens of flying roadblocks at the junctions of the roads, holding the resident for more three hours under the scorching sun rather than some of them were forced to undress for search.

Monday afternoon, Israeli occupation soldiers barred a medical team from entering the village of Azzoun Atma, south of Qalqilia, in the West Bank.

A source at Azzoun Atma village council reported that soldiers stopped medical teams which belong to the Red Crescent Society, at the gate which is installed on the only entrance of the village, barring them from entering for the second time in two weeks.

The occupation Soldiers stationed at the Iron Gate repeatedly bar the Palestinians who are not from the village, from entering it, completely isolating it from the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers invaded in the early morning several neighborhoods in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

A local source in Nablus reported that soldiers invaded Ein Beit al-Ma' refugee camp, and the northern Mountain area, and fired rounds of live ammunition.

The source stated that soldiers also invaded Faisal Street and al-Dawwar area in Nablus, and conducted military searches of homes, no arrests.

For the second day in row the Israeli occupation forces imposed a closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip on Sunday for the duration of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which ends Monday night.
