Taiwanese Trade, Investment Mission Visits SI
The leader of the first ever visiting Taiwanese Trade and Investment mission to Solomon Islands, Bob Lin said his mission hopes to transfer its experiences to Solomon Islanders.
Mr Lin was speaking in a meeting his 12 member delegation had with Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare yesterday morning.
He said he and his delegation had been looking forward to their trip to Solomon Islands.
Mr Lin said his mission consists of representatives from the Small and Medium Enterprises in Taiwan and it had purposely come to identify more trading and investment opportunities.
"Through communicating with local business people we hope to transfer our experiences to our friends. Actually we have been looking forward for this trip," he said.
Mr Lin thanked the Solomon Islands ambassador to Taiwan, Beraki Jino who accompanied his trade and investment mission to Solomon Islands.
He said Mr Jino was instrumental towards the mission's trip to Solomon Islands.
The mission arrived in the country on Tuesday and will be holding talks with various trade and investment authorities in Honiara until Friday.
