Israeli Air Strike Kills Palestinian in Gaza
Palestinian medical workers say an Israeli air strike in the northern Gaza Strip Monday killed one member of the radical Islamic Hamas group and wounded at least two others.
The Israeli military said an aircraft targeted a Palestinian squad firing mortar shells into Israel.
Israel has stepped up air strikes and raids since Hamas seized control of Gaza in June. The northern Gaza Strip is an area that militants often use to launch rockets and mortar shells into southern Israel.
