ONE IN THE EYE FOR THE FIAT 500!
The London Eye, the 135 metre high giant Ferris Wheel that dominates the London skyline, has been chosen by Fiat as the ideal venue for the UK launch of the Fiat 500 with Car of Year 2008 taking a ride inside the passenger compartments!
The first British Fiat 500s will be making their debut in the London Eye exactly 500 hours into the New Year as part of special party to mark the launch, with live bands, celebrities, a light show and star presenters, starting 8.00 pm on January 21 2008 and they will join the 3.5 million people who take a ‘flight’in the London Eye every year.
Normally each of the 32 capsules on the London Eye carry 25 people, but for the launch each one will contain a Fiat 500, providing London with a unique view of the Fiat 500 as they circulate more the 135 metres above the River Thames!
