President Ahmadinejad meets Swiss counterpart in Geneva
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran and his counterpart from Switzerland Hance Rodoulf Merets discussed major bilateral, regional and international developments in a meeting here Sunday night.
The Iranian President
stressed the need to promote Tehran-Geneva relations and
cooperation and said the two countries would have a positive
influence on major international issues.
Meanwhile,
President Merets expressed satisfaction over President
Ahmadinejad’s presence in Switzerland.
The Iranian President arrived in Geneva on Sunday to attend the anti-racism Durban Review Conference (Durban 2) which is the follow-up to the 2001 First World Conference on Racism in South Africa.
Participants of the first conference had strongly condemned the racist policies of the Zionist regime.
The US and the Zionist regime boycotted the second conference in Geneva in protest against its declaration which has criticized the Zionist regime and equated Zionism with racism
