Hindus Urge All UK Schools To Introduce Yoga
Lauding Glasgow Schools For Yoga Launch, Hindus Urge All UK Schools To Introduce Yoga
Hindus have commended some Glasgow schools for launching yoga and have urged other United Kingdom schools to introduce yoga for their pupils.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, urged all primary and secondary schools of United Kingdom to incorporate yoga in the lives of the students. Yoga was a mental and physical discipline whose traces went back to around 2,000 BCE, he pointed out.
Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, quoted Patanjali, author of the basic text Yoga Sutra, who said that yoga was a methodical effort to attain perfection, through the control of the different elements of human nature, physical and psychical.
