Abu Sisi Threatens To Resume Hunger Strike

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Dhirar Abu Sisi has threatened to resume his open hunger strike if the Israeli prison service (IPS) refused to end his solitary confinement.

The IPS had ended the isolation of all Palestinian prisoners as part of a deal to end the prisoners’ month long hunger strike but retained Abu Sisi in isolation.

Abu Sisi, 42, told the lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoners' Society, who visited him, that he inquired from the prison administration about his condition but they told him that the Israeli intelligence advice him to keep his mouth shut.

The detainee said that he was adamant on his right to get out of isolation as his name was included in the deal, charging that there was a conspiracy being hatched to block the end of his isolation.

Abu Sisi asked the Egyptian leadership, in its capacity as the sponsor of the agreement, to demand an end to his isolation, refusing Israeli claims that his presence among other prisoners would pose danger to the Hebrew state.

The Israeli foreign intelligence, the Mossad, kidnapped Abu Sisi, a father of six children, while on an internal trip in the Ukraine in February 2011 to visit his brother.
