RAFAH, (PIC)-- Gaza premier Ismail Haniyeh has called on Cairo to open the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza round-the-clock.

Haniyeh, who was inaugurating the first stage of upgrading the terminal, said, “We are looking forward to turning a new page in the Egyptian-Palestinian relations”.
He called for increasing the number of passengers and for the establishment of a free trade zone on the crossing.
The premier proposed to Cairo turning the crossing into an open gate for commercial, industrial, and agricultural traffic between Gaza and Egypt.
