For Northland and Auckland down to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: and Bay of Plenty: Showers in most places this morning. Skies clearing from the south later but a few showers persisting about eastern Northland and Coromandel Peninsula.
In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa, also for Wellington: Cloud and a few showers gradually clearing from the south and becoming fine.
Nelson and the South Island west coast: Fine and frosty.
For Marlborough and Canterbury: Cloud and the odd coastal shower clearing north of Banks Peninsula this morning otherwise fine and frosty.
In Otago and Southland: Cloud and light showers clearing from the coast this morning otherwise fine and frosty weather.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
