Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.

In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: A mix of cloud and fine periods. A few light showers clearing this morning.

Gisborne to Wairarapa, also for Wellington: Cloud and a few brief showers about Gisborne this morning. Elsewhere, fine.

South Island west coast and Nelson: Light showers about Fiordland otherwise a mix of cloud and fine periods.

Marlborough to Otago, also for Southland: Fine inland. Light showers about the south coast from time to time with a few spreading further north later.

Chatham Islands: Mainly cloudy, a few showers.
