Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.

For Northland and Auckland: Cloudy periods today with brief showers. Tomorrow further light showers about Auckland but rain spreading south over Northland.

Remaining North Island areas: Mostly fine weather but north of the central plateau high cloud increasing tomorrow.

South Island west coast: A few light showers in the south of Fiordland. A mix of cloudy and fine spells elsewhere.

Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Cloudy night and morning otherwise fine.

Otago and Southland: Mostly fine inland. Showers about Foveaux Strait spreading to the Otago Peninsula at times.

Chatham Islands: Brief showers.
