For Northland, Auckland and Coromandel Peninsula: Rain or showers for the remainder of today with a few further showers tomorrow.
For Bay of Plenty: Widespread rain with a few heavy falls easing to a few showers this evening. One or two showers persisting tomorrow.
From Waikato south to the central plateau, also for Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay: Rain at times with a few heavy falls about the Gisborne ranges tonight. Rain clearing from most areas tomorrow.
For remaining North Island areas: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Tomorrow, rain clearing.
In Buller and Nelson: Cloudy with patchy rain at times.
For Westland and Fiordland: High cloud but remaining dry.
In Marlborough and Canterbury: Cloudy with coastal drizzle turning to scattered rain from tonight.
For Otago and Southland: Areas of high but remaining dry apart for a few overnight drizzle patches about the coast.
For Chatham Islands: Mostly fine today but becoming cloudy overnight with rain developing tomorrow.
