Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: High cloud and becoming warm this afternoon with showers about the ranges but dry further east.
Wanganui to Wellington, also for Wairarapa: Showers easing this morning with fine breaks increasing.
Buller to central Westland, also for Nelson and Marlborough: Patchy rain.
Southern parts of Westland, Fiordland: Dry and cloudy at first. Rain developing later.
Canterbury and Otago, also for Southland: Cloudy with patchy rain. Long fine breaks likely in inland parts of Otago and Southland.
Chatham Islands: Outbreaks of rain.
