Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.
From Northland to Manawatu, also for Bay of Plenty and the central plateau: A mix of a few showers and fine periods today. Tomorrow, morning showers turning to a period of rain.
For Gisborne to Wairarapa: Brief showers about the main ranges but mainly fine elsewhere today. High cloud increasing tomorrow.
For Wellington: Mainly fine today. Cloudy tomorrow with a few showers turning to rain after dark.
In Nelson and Marlborough: Mostly fine today but cloud increasing tomorrow with rain spreading from the west later.
For the South Island west coast: Rain or showers for much of the time.
For Canterbury and Otago: Cloudy at first with drizzle patches and areas of fog about the coast but becoming fine later this afternoon with westerly breezes developing. Tomorrow, high cloud increasing with some late brief rain possible.
In Southland: Patchy rain clearing this morning then fine periods increasing. Cloudy tomorrow with scattered rain developing.
For Chatham Islands: Rain or showers at times.
