Northland to Taranaki, also for the central plateau, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne: Showers clearing this morning and becoming fine in most places. A few showers may linger about Northland.
Wanganui to Wellington, also Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa: Cloudy skies. A few drizzly showers about Wellington and the east coast this morning. Skies clearing later.
Nelson and Marlborough: Mainly fine. A few showers to coastal Marlborough at first this morning.
South Island west coast: Drizzle developing about Fiordland, elsewhere a mix of cloudy and fine weather.
Canterbury, Otago and Southland: Low cloud and drizzle patches about the east coast otherwise fine.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
