Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.

In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to
Taranaki then down to Wellington, also for the central high
country: Cloudy periods developing. A few light showers likely
later.

For Bay of Plenty, also from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Fine.

Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Fog patches in sheltered
places at first this morning then fine. A southwest change
spreading into Canterbury this afternoon then further north
later bringing showers.

South Island west coast: Showers working north today then
fine spells increasing. Rain setting in south of the glaciers
after dark with snow lowering about the mountains of Fiordland.

Otago and Southland: A period of rain in most places this morning
then clearing inland and showers retreating to the coast.

Chatham Islands: A few showers.
