Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to
midnight tomorrow:

The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Wellington, also for the volcanic plateau and Bay of Plenty: Rain becoming persistent and widespread. Heavy falls likely from northern Taranaki to Waikato this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow, rain easing to showers.

In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Patchy rain from later today. Further outbreaks of rain tomorrow.

Nelson and the South Island west coast: Rain today. Expect heavy falls in Buller and the western ranges of Nelson. Rain easing overnight and becoming mainly fine tomorrow.

Marlborough to Otago also for Southland: A period of rain to most places today. Tomorrow, showers and southerlies spread north reaching Marlborough by evening.

Chatham Islands: Showers easing today. Rain developing tomorrow.
