Snow extension for rates due this week
The deadline for Christchurch City Council rates payments due yesterday, Monday 15 August, has been extended until the snow has cleared and Council facilities have reopened.
The new deadline will be two days after Council Service Centres reopen to the public. Service Centres and other facilities were closed due to snow yesterday and remain closed today. Please check the Council website for information on when the Service Centres reopen or phone the Customer Call Centre on 941 8999 or 0800 800 169. Direct debit payments already set up will have been paid automatically as usual on the due date.
This extension affects rates Area 1, which
generally includes homes in: the Central City and the
suburbs of St Albans, Merivale, Mairehau, Papanui,
Riccarton, Addington, Spreydon, Sydenham, Beckenham, Opawa
and Banks Peninsula.
