Labour pays tribute to Reverend Dr Hone Kaa
Labour has today expressed its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Reverend Dr Hone Kaa who passed away last night.

“Dr Hone Kaa made a tremendous contribution to New Zealand. He was a passionate advocate for children and a fearless voice for his people. He worked tirelessly to reduce child abuse and to improve the well-being of all Māori, particularly through education.

“He was never afraid to speak his mind and to challenge us all to confront contentious and difficult issues.

“We mourn his loss. Our thoughts are with all those who knew him and admired his work and strength of character. We will never forget the contribution he has made to our country,” said Jacinda Ardern.
