Board Members Re-appointed to Infrastructure Auckland
The Infrastructure Auckland Electoral College has re-appointed Dr Tony Lanigan and Gary Taylor to the Board of Infrastructure Auckland for a further three-year term.
Board Members are appointed on a rotating basis for terms of office that cannot exceed three years. Although the current terms of office for Dr Lanigan and Gary Taylor expire on 30 June 2003, both are eligible for re-appointment.
Sir Barry Curtis, Chairman of the Infrastructure Auckland Electoral College, said that a review of the performance of Infrastructure Auckland made very positive comments about the current make-up of the Board. “All Board members work well individually and as a team. There is a very good balance of knowledge, experience and philosophical perspective.” The Electoral College also re-appointed John Robertson as Chairman for a further two years, until the expiry of his current term of office as a member on 30 June 2005.
The other 4 members of the Board are Richard Didsbury, Dr Jocelyn Jesson, John Maasland and Richard Waddell who have varying terms of office in line with the rotating system of appointments.
In addition to
confirming current membership the Electoral College
complimented Infrastructure Auckland for its contribution to
the significant progress made by the Auckland region in the
preparation of a Rail Business Plan.
