Major Restrictions At Beach Rd Intersection
Transit New Zealand advises all road users that there will be major restrictions to traffic movements at the Beach Road/Stanley Street/Parnell Rise/The Strand intersection in Parnell this weekend.
Work on the intersection will be undertaken between 8pm on Friday 4 July and 5am on Monday 7 July. During this time the following traffic movements will not be possible:
- No right turn from Stanley Street into Parnell Rise and The Strand.
- No access from Parnell Rise/The Strand to Beach Road.
All other traffic movements will be possible. However, motorists are advised to consider alternative routes where possible. All detours will be clearly signposted.
The work is part of an eight-week programme that will involve working on the intersection every weekend until mid-September. The work is weather permitting, and in the event of inclement weather, will be postponed until the next clear weekend.
For more information on the Grafton Gully project, visit the project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street and Alten Road, phone 0800 ToFreeflow (0800 863 733) or visit the Transit website www.transit.govt.nz.
