Fatal Crash, Waikato Expressway, Ōhinewai
One person has died following a crash on the Waikato Expressway, Ōhinewai, this morning.
Emergency services responded to the crash involving a car and a pedestrian, south of Te Kauwhata, around 7am.
Tragically, the pedestrian died at the scene.
The Expressway remains closed southbound from Te Kauwhata while the Serious Crash Unit conduct a scene examination.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
