Joint media release on behalf of the ARC and the Football Kingz
ARC and Football Kingz agree to go to mediation
20 August 2003
The Auckland Regional Council and the Football Kingz have agreed to go to mediation if necessary, to resolve their current contract dispute.
Discussions between the two parties are ongoing. However they agreed today that mediation may offer the best chance for a resolution. The move towards mediation is in line with the disputes clause in the contract between the two parties.
Both the Council and the Kingz are hopeful of a positive outcome as soon as possible.
The ARC has assured the Kingz that Ericsson Stadium will be ready and available for the club’s first home NSL fixture in September.
