Southern Motorway Lane Realignment
Transit New Zealand advises all motorists that from tomorrow morning, all southbound lanes on the Southern Motorway between the Grafton Road on-ramp and the Khyber Pass on-ramp will have been realigned. The lanes will have shifted east towards the motorway shoulder. Motorists are advised to take extra care through the area and be wary of changes to lane markings. There may be delays.
Changes are weather permitting and in the event of bad weather, work will be undertaken on the next clear night.
- A contraflow remains in place south of the Gillies Ave on-ramp to North of the Khyber Pass off-ramp.
- The Northbound shoulder remains closed between the Gillies Ave on-ramp and the Khyber Pass off-ramp.
