SH16 off-ramp to open tomorrow
Transit New Zealand advises all motorists travelling in
the Grafton Gully area that access from the Northwestern
Motorway (SH16) to the Port will be closed from 8pm tonight
(Wednesday 10 December) to 6am tomorrow morning (Thursday 11
December).
Please use an alternative off-ramp during this time.
A new on-ramp from the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to Wellesley Street will open to traffic on Thursday.
The link will particularly benefit motorists travelling from West Auckland into the city and improve access from SH16 to the central business district, Grafton and Auckland Hospital.
Completion of the new off-ramp is weather dependant. In the event of bad weather the opening will be postponed.
