Off-ramp closure: Northwestern Motorway to Nelson Street
Work on Stage 2 of Transit New Zealand’s Central Motorway Junction project continues this month.
The Northwestern Motorway (SH16) Nelson St Off-ramp (city bound) will be closed from 7.00am on Sunday 15 February to 6.00am Monday 16 February.
The ramp closure is to allow the safe demolition of a structure which partly overhangs the off-ramp.
Motorists travelling to the city or North Shore during the time the closure is in place are advised to follow the detours which will be fully sign-posted.
Transit apologises for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their patience.
The work is part of Stage 2 of Transit’s Central Motorway Junction upgrade project, which covers the section of motorway between Wellington Street and Symonds Street on the Southern Motorway (SH1) and between Symonds St and Bond Street on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16), and is scheduled for completion in 2006.
More information about the work can be obtained by phoning 0800 CMJ Core (0800 265 2673) or by visiting www.transit.govt.nz/cmj
