Alten Road closed – Saturday 27 March
Transit New Zealand advises that Alten Rd in Grafton will be – CLOSED – to downhill traffic during the day on Saturday 27 March from 6am until 8pm.
Motorists travelling downhill, away from the University of Auckland, towards the port and motorway access, will be affected from the Alten Rd/Symonds St/Anzac Ave intersection through to the Alten Rd/Stanley St intersection.
Traffic travelling up Alten Rd towards the University from Stanley St will not be affected.
The closure is for traffic island and pavement works being undertaken at the Alten Rd/Stanley St intersection.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use alternative routes. These will be clearly signposted.
The closure is weather permitting, and in the event of bad weather, work will be postponed until the next clear weekend.
