C&R Now candidates for Hobson Ward

C&R Now candidates for Hobson Ward.

John Slater, Chairman of the Joint Venture executive for C&R Now today announced the confirmed selections for council and community board for Hobson Ward:

Hobson Ward Council
---------------------------

Chris Diack (current Deputy Chairman of the Hobson Community Board)
Cr. Scott Milne (Incumbent)

Margaret Tapper (former Infrastructure Auckland director)

Hobson Community Board

Judith Bassett * Solicitor
Aaron Bhatnagar (incumbent)
Julie Chambers (incumbent)
Colin Leuschke (incumbent)
Richard Poole (Marketing consultant)
John Ross (IT Manager)

“We delayed announcing our Hobson team as there was some negotiation with Cr. Victoria Carter about rejoining our ticket. This was part of our strategy for uniting the centre-right in Auckland City. However, once she confirmed that she was retiring, the joint executive was then able to confirm our team. The joint venture executive confirmed incumbent Councillor Scott Milne. The Auckland Now nominee is Chris Diack. The C&R nominee for the ticket is Margaret Tapper. They will make fine councillors for the Hobson Ward,” said Mr Slater.

“The Hobson Community Board team is confirmed as the same team selected by the members on July 8. Judith Bassett, Aaron Bhatnagar, Julie Chambers, Colin Leuschke, Richard Poole and John Ross will be our team. This is an excellent mix of youth, dedication, experience and energy,” said Mr Slater.

“This is one of the strongest teams for Hobson Ward in many years – we look forward to voters meeting and supporting our team,” said Mr Slater.

* note – Judith Bassett standing for Hobson Community Board is the daughter-in-law of Judith Bassett standing for the ARC on the C&R Now ticket.
