To grow or not to grow?
Manukau City Council has received feedback on proposed growth scenarios in the Beachlands area from more than 320 people. Responses have been collated and will be considered by the Environment and Urban Design Committee when it decides on a preferred growth management strategy early next year.
Four growth scenarios have been proposed. They are high growth, low growth, medium growth and no growth.
Depending on the chosen strategy, a structure plan and District Plan change may need to be prepared. In that case, the public will have further opportunities for informal comment and formal submissions.
More information, including a summary of feedback, can be viewed on Council's website at www.manukau.govt.nz/beachlands.htm.
