Waitakere City Open-Studio Weekend

Open-Studio
Weekend – March 4-5th 2006, 10-4pm
Artists are being
sought for an exciting new initiative, being promoted by the
Waitakere Arts Network (An informal Council-led network of
Arts-organisations). WAN is inviting artists to open their
studios on the 4th and 5th of March 2005. Artists will have
the choice to open on either or both days. For artists
without home studios, there will be an option to demonstrate
their art-practice as part of a cluster (Venues to be
announced).
There will be a brochure produced listing the locations of all studios and the event will be publicised throughout the Auckland region.
This event is designed
to:
- Increase arts awareness in the community
- To promote Waitakere arts throughout the Auckland region
- To create dialogue and interaction between artists and the public
