Albany Junior High School Parents Excited About Plans For Senior School

The Parents Forum of Albany Junior High School are so excited about the planned Senior High School this week they voted unanimously to establish a group to support the Senior High School. Chairperson of the Albany Senior High School Parents Forum, Andrew Hooker, explained that the Senior High School is the continuation of the incredibly successful and popular Junior High School. After many years of planning and work the final stage is in sight, and the parents want to be sure that the Senior High School is as successful as the junior school.

“We really want this to be a community project so that the people of Albany and surrounding districts can together build a school that will stand out as an example to the rest of New Zealand. What a great opportunity to get involved at the start and make sure that our children are lucky enough to be part of the best senior high school in the country.”

“After less than two years Albany Junior High School has really set the standard. And people are already moving into the zone so that their kids can take advantage of such a state of the art and high quality school. But the job isn’t finished yet. Once the project is completed with the opening of the Senior High School in 2009, the families of Albany and district will have educational and community facilities of the highest quality.”

The Albany Senior High School Parents Forum welcomes public debate and discussion about the school and its location as it shows that the members of the school’s community are interested and want to be involved in the planning and development of the school.

“We want to work with the community and we are certain that once all interested parties are involved and aware of the huge benefits of the school, we can move ahead together to make this a happening thing”.
