CraftWerk the fair with an edge

Press Release - for immediate use

Get ready because CraftWerk Wellington's arts and crafts fair is back! The event is taking place October 23rd from 2pm till 6pm at the all new Southern Cross on the corner of Cuba and Abel Smith Streets.

Sick of hearing your friends say "Wow, I have that exact same shirt!"? Well, come down and get your funky, unique, handmade clothing, accessories, and art from some of the coolest indie craft artisans around!

Throw out any preconceptions you may have about craft fairs (you know what we mean but we are far too polite to elaborate!). CraftWerk is a craft bazaar, that provides a space for contemporary indie designers and a new generation of renegade crafters to showcase their creations. It is also an opportunity for people to buy quality, unique handmade goods from the real life person who made it which, we are sure you will agree, is way better than the faceless, mass-produced corporate stuff isn't it!

Over three dozen crafters show off a wide variety of handmade goods, including handbags and jewelry, unusual baby & adult clothes, found-image decoupages, zines, local musicians' CDs and lots more. The offerings vary, but what our vendors have in common is quality, originality, and fun.

Entry to CraftWerk is 100% FREE. The only cost to attendees is what you'll spend on the awesome crafts & distinctly kiwi southern cross food.

And proof that Crafters love you, First 50 people get a goodie bag filled with great swag! courtesy of Juniper at 114 Riddiford Street Newtown.
