Southern Motorway (Sh1) Traffic Bulletin: Thursday 8 February To Wednesday 21 February
Transit New Zealand would like to advise that the following closures will take place on the Southern Motorway (SH1) at Manukau.
Thursday 8, Sunday 11, Monday 12, Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14, Thursday 15 February and again on Sunday 18, Monday 19, Tuesday 20, Wednesday 21 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning: Southbound lanes between Redoubt Rd off-ramp and Takanini on-ramp.
The closures are to carry out resurfacing work on SH1. Motorists are requested to follow the signposted detour via Great South Rd while the closures are in operation.
There will be no closures during the day or on Friday and Saturday nights.
Northbound lanes will remain open throughout.
Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
In the event of bad weather or any unforeseen circumstances, these closures will be postponed to the next suitable nights between Thursday 22 February and Friday 30 March.
