Status Quo remains for North Shore bus services during Queen St upgrade
The Auckland Regional Transport Authority said today that the status quo remains for North Shore bus service stops during the Queen Street upgrade.
Routes 822, 839, 858, 875, 879, 921, 922, 946, 956, 890X, 900X and 945X will continue to depart from Albert St outside the Sky City Convention Centre.
Routes 76X, 85X, 86X, 87X, 802X, 863X, 873X, 874X and 881X will continue to depart from Queen St outside the Civic.
North Shore bus stops were relocated to accommodate Queen Street upgrade works in 2006. The bulk of North Shore services, which usually depart from the Civic, were relocated to Albert Street.
The North Shore afternoon express services, which usually depart from Albert Street, were relocated to the partially completed Civic stop on Queen St, at this time.
ARTA’s General Manager, Customer Services, Mark Lambert says, “ARTA has taken the decision not to move all day services back to Queen Street to avoid adding extra traffic pressure to Queen Street”.
