Get art smart at Artstation

With summer coming to an end, and the school holidays on their way, Artstation has a fantastic range of activities to keep kids and teenagers busy and entertained.

Bookings are now open for the school holiday art workshops, which run from 10 to 19 April. Classes are run by practising artists in a safe and fun environment, and offer children the chance to develop their own unique talents.

Classes include a wide range of arts activities from pottery and photographic workshops to printing and the Flying Creatures workshop, where kids can let their imagination run wild using wire and papier-mache techniques to create flying dinosaurs, butterflies and dragons.

For teenagers there is an exciting three-day glass casting workshop, teaching students how to design and sculpt in glass. Artstation provides all the materials and kiln firing to enable students to create a unique sculptural piece.

Once the school term restarts, children have the opportunity to continue their art interests by attending after-school and Saturday art sessions focussing on clay work, drawing, 3-D construction and much more.

Artstation also offers Mucky Play, a weekly art group for preschoolers and their caregivers, and runs children’s birthday parties on Sundays, complete with a tutor and materials for fun arts activities.

All of Artstation’s skilled tutors are experts in their field. The sessions are in a professional studio situation, with tutors encouraging children to learn through having fun.
