Free lunchtime concerts at Central City Library

Auckland City Libraries once again presents their popular free lunchtime concert series featuring an exciting line-up of talented soloists, ensembles and choirs. The series begins 12 April and runs until 28 June.

Highlights in April include The Three Mezzos who will be opening the concert series on the 12 April. The Three Mezzos are a vocal trio of Lynne Anderson, Margo Knightbridge and Barbara Lynch. They will be accompanied by pianist Elizabeth Calvert.

Rising stars soprano Camille Patterson and tenor Ben Taylor will be performing a selection of solos and duets on the 19 April.

The Opera Factory presents soprano Emma Sloman with pianist Greg Neill who will perform a programme of favourite opera arias, lieder, art songs and music theatre on the 26 April.

Other highlights of the concert series include clarinettist Ryan Cha (an Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Young Achiever) accompanied by pianist John Paul Muir; students from the Corelli School of the performing arts; Bassoonist Ben Hoadley; the Orlando Singers; soprano Jenna Johnson-Aufei and many very talented music students from some of Auckland's secondary schools.
