Transit conducting SH1 guard rail works overnight next week
Transit New Zealand will be installing a guard rail at the Waikanae rail overbridge next week requiring an overnight lane closure.
Transit Regional Manager Graham Taylor says the guard rail will be constructed on the southbound side of SH1 over three successive nights just south of Waikanae. Work will commence at 8pm and conclude at 6am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Mr Taylor says there will be limited impact to traffic from the lane closure while this safety work is carried out.
Transit apologises for any inconvenience while this work is done.
